Friendship Matters

I always had great friendships while I was a student. I grew up learning how to make friends in intentional, Christian environments. That led me to making choices toward intentional, Christian friendships when I was in college and graduate school. It was those friendships - the ones where I chose to be intentional with other Christian women - that changed my life and helped me learn how to have a real relationship with Jesus.

Our friends matter. Learning how to make friends is important for kids and adults. Friendship shouldn’t be one of those things we fall into with the crude or condescending person you work with. Kindness, compassion, and even thoughtful acquaintances are always appropriate. But our friendships can make us better or worse. They can even  strengthen or weaken our families and home lives.

I talked  in depth about this and shared some truth and practical tips on this week’s  Thankful Thursday. I talked about how to make friends, maintain life-giving friendships, how your friendships can make your marriage and families better, and the importance of helping your children develop healthy friendships.

This one is not just for the mamas! Check it out here!
