Want to see what true love looks like?

True love looks like a (very handsome) man who did the opposite of everything he would normally do for a day to make his wife’s dream come true. I love, love, love new places, exploring beauty and family outings. The West Coast National Park has famous spring flowers that bloom for just two months of the year. The flowered section of the park is only open in August and September. Every year since we moved to Cape Town, all I’ve wanted to do for my birthday is see the flowers. And every year I’ve been sick! The sinusitus threatened again this year on my birthday, but it didn’t knock me off my feet like is has in previous years. We waited a week for me to get all the way better, pulled Lifa out of school for a day, and WE SAW THOSE FLOWERS!!!

My boys loved me so well. Chris even packed a tripod because he knows I love a good family photo. They could go their whole lives without long road trips or family photos! They were so committed to making my wish come true, no matter what. It was the very sweetest thing. So, THIS is what true love looks like to me!
