🙌 It's the Friday Call to Worship! 🙌
Life seemed extra life-ish this week. There were extra-high highs, extra-low lows, and a lot of situations where I found myself thinking, "I have no idea what to do here." Need, questions and sometimes fear wrapped around me, so I started waking at 4:30am to beat my toddler to the start of the day. I simply worshiped in the quiet moments before life woke up.
Imagine how life felt for the disciples after Jesus died on the cross. They locked themselves away in an upper room in fear. Things hadn't gone like they thought they would. They didn't know who was for them or against them. Now what were they supposed to do? John 20:19 tells us, "...Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! 'Peace be with you...!"
He had just conquered death, so showing up unannounced in their locked up hiding place was easy. Stone walls weren't going to stop Him from ushering in supernatural peace. A resurrected body doesn't have to live by life's laws.
Whatever your highs, lows and, "I don't knows" are in this season of life, remember that this life is not the end of your story if you follow Christ. The resurrected King died so that you could live. Your resurrected mind doesn't have to follow life's laws.
Start your day with Jesus rather than your circumstances, and allow life-defying peace to guard your heart and mind. Listen to Natalie Grant's "Your Presence is My Weapon (Sacred Version".
