🙌 It's the Friday Call to Worship! 🙌

I had a hard time rendering my stubborn heart to God this week. I found myself desperately dwelling on things I hope for rather the His perfect love. I continuously brought my dreams to God but had a hard time leaving them with Him. Like a child, unsure if she has her Father's attention and tugging on His robe to say, "Did you hear me? Are you gonna do it? Is it time yet? When is it going to be time?" Pleading made me more anxious than peaceful.

I'm not fond of worship songs that strum prosperity's heart strings or promise God will do what you want Him to do. I always end up focusing on what I want God to do for me rather than what He already did. But when a friend sent me the song, "More Than Able" this week, the part that stood out to me was that He CAN.

All things are possible and miracles still happen because of who God is. But the message isn't my miracle... it's my God. He IS my miracle. We don't sing "God is more than able, so He should ________." JUST God is more than able. That's where the peace is - and the hope that lasts.

He knows what we hope for. He is the One who can put our hope in and never be disappointed. Know that He can. Dwell on Who He IS. Listen to Elevation Worship's "More Than Able", and have a great Friday!
