πŸ™ŒIt's the Friday Call to Worship!πŸ™Œ

It's been a regular week with regular highs and lows. I sat in traffic, made sandwiches, and went to parks. On Tuesday, an uninvited measure of dread crept into my spirit. I didn't want to face the normal, still-privileged problems that would present themselves that afternoon. I don't always remember to call my heart to worship during the monotonous moments. I don't often walk to the park with purpose and power.

It didn't even occur to me to pray that afternoon while I pushed my kids on the swings, but I can guarantee someone, somewhere was praying for me. An undeserved, unrequested peace fell on us. The heaviness was replaced by a holiness that I had absolutely nothing to do with. I haven't been able to shake it since.

Somebody took time on their regular Tuesday to look above their circumstance and call God into mine. Someone sowed heaven into an unnamed park in South Africa and gave a regular family a bigger gift than they know.

It reminded me that no day is a meaningless day, and every moment is spiritual. I'm even more convinced of the power of prayer and the attentiveness of our Heavenly Father after being on the receiving end of His grace when I would have never thought to ask for it. I wonder how much more we would see His Kingdom come if we remembered to worship when it doesn't feel spiritual and pray when it doesn't feel pertinent?

Who else but Jesus deserves our worship and wants to participate in our daily live? He walked out of a tomb on a Sunday so we could walk with Him on our regular Tuesday afternoons - and every other day too!

Let's sing, "Who Else" by Gateway Worship!
