Our Gathering Place

When we got married, we bought a big, ancient kitchen table and an old, red bench from a South African fast food chain. Lifa thought we were crazy! That bench and table have become home base for us and the centerpiece for the Ladd.Family logo!

Lifa sets that table every evening, and we gather around Kacy's cooking to share life and our daily highs and lows. We mark milestones in our lives with new tablecloths. When we come to the table, we remember we are better together. 

We put our little red bench and our big, old table right in the middle of our family name as a celebration of our highest values and as an invitation for you. Whether you visit us in Cape Town or just on this website, we hope you know you have a place at that table and believe we’re spreading out a celebration tablecloth for you. We become better daily because of the ways we love each other. We are a healthy and disciplined family. We honor God with our diet and exercise. We are a family that loves people. We desire to bring all people into a relationship with Christ by practicing Kingdom hospitality and loving those deemed unlovable. We are a family that lives generously. We will never hesitate to be wildly generous for the sake of God's Kingdom. We give for God's glory and not our own. We are a family that stewards resources wisely. We respect and care for what we've been entrusted with, understanding everything we have is from God and for God. We are a family that claims ground. We boldly set out feet on the land God calls us to. We keep marching until we have claimed it all.
