It's a beautiful place to be a brother

It’s the first day back to school for Lifa after another 2 week COVID-inspired holiday. That boy is ready to be around kids his own age! His little brother will be sad to see him go. We’ve had a beautiful time together in our beautiful city. Cape Town, we love you!

Benjamin is made to be out in nature. As soon as he wakes up, he pounds toward the door, begging to be released into the wild. It’s better for everyone if we pack up and go - the earlier the better! We’ve walked, run, hiked, played... and it’s so much better with a brother!

Chris grew up outdoors in mountains, streams and all kinds of nature in Knoxville. I tell him stories about the crawdads and life-sucking swarms of mosquitos that populate the sweltering Gulf Coast where I grew up. We drove far away to get to nature! I LOVE watching our boys come alive outdoors. I am so grateful we can access mountains, forests, fields, parks, and the ocean just outside of our own backyard! Lifa bounds between trees, and Benjamin investigates with his feet and hands. It’s the greatest thing.

This life is so much more beautiful than I would have ever guessed it could be!
