He Tried Something New

Chris was SO excited to try “a new thing” at church this week. Bringing a REAL Bible with PAGES on stage to preach from. Y’all… my man is so good. I’m not talking the biased kind of good that wives think about husbands (although he is that too). I’m talking about good at doing what God made him to do. I’ve got a beautiful spot in the passenger seat of this journey, watching my husband learn to lead, love and teach at a different caliber than he’s ever done.

A couple of weeks ago, he decided to take a leap of faith and start preaching without notes or a confidence monitor. This week, I picked out a “stage Bible” for him that he highlights the Scripture he’s teaching from in. He made a joke about bringing a Bible on stage at the beginning of this week’s message, and then had to switch to a handheld mic and change up his whole teaching technique.. He presented a great message, and it’s so fun to watch God work through him. Here’s this weeks’ message. There is beautiful worship, a powerful testimony and Chris’ message starts at 26 minutes.
