How to find hope for yourself, your family and your future

We were born to hope. To believe in something, to seek something, to continuously become… If we get our eyes stuck on what’s in front of us, our heart set on what it within reach, we are missing something… Someone eternal.

This week, I was CRAZY tired. I planned my entire weekend around taking a nap while Benjamin slept. Guess what… COULDN’T SLEEP. While the rest of the house was super peaceful and resting, I was busy cracking away at my keyboard.

We have just launched an online community for moms in South Africa. God practically SCREAMED a word at me during my scheduled nap time, so I typed out the notes and dug into my Bible. The next morning, I jumped on Facebook to share 3 simple steps and a whole lot of Scripture about how we can hold onto hope - or find it for the first time.

I asked moms to pray and ask God for a specific vision for themselves, their family and our nation. Our nation is the place our kids and grandkids will grow up. Why wouldn’t we hope and dream for it!?! If you’ve got time, watch (or just listen!) to this video for some Scripture and encouragement God gave me.

Here’s the cheat sheet:

We all need a hope and vision for ourselves, our family and our future to keep us focused when life throws curveballs, crises or pandemics.

How do maintain our hope and keep moving toward our vision?

  1. Do it with God.

  2. Do it with others.

  3. Decide now

What is one small decision can you make today to help you and your family become who you want to be? Don’t let life just go by. You’re not a survivor. You are more than a conqueror through Christ. That’s worth thinking about!
