πŸ™ŒIt's the Friday Call to Worship!πŸ™Œ

Our church is learning what it means to be rescued, redeemed, restored and to rejoice in Christ. On Sunday, my husband said, "I want you to come face to face with what it means to be rescued by Jesus." He shared about "ugly-crying" at the gym recently when he heard musician, Zach Williams' rescue story.

Williams grew up in church and knew about Jesus. But he hadn't come face to face with how much he needed to be rescued by Jesus. In his testimony, the musician shares how he got to his lowest point and cried out to God, "If you're real, prove it!"

A famous prophet named Jonah had a similar experience. His desperate prayer echoed in the chambers of a whale's belly after three days of darkness and digestive juices.

There's a sacred space where the worst of our worst becomes our rescuing place. We cry out in desperation and see He's always been there. That is the moment we really meet Jesus and worship in spirit and truth.

Friends, there is no guilt or shame in your lows. Jesus died and rose above them. He's been waiting for this very moment for you to run into His rescuing arms.

"He will rejoice over you with joy; He will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins], He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy." Zephaniah 3:17 AMP
