🙌 It's the Friday Call to Worship! 🙌

Last weekend we remembered a weekend in history that changed everything: the curse reversed, death died, and we were set free forever. On the heels of my Creator shutting down the sun, shaking the earth, and allowing His Son to die for me, I’m still distracted by my struggles and pridefully trying to tackle problems in my own strength.

One week after Jesus walked out of the grave, He walked through a barred door to meet his doubting, fearful disciples. They had all already seen Jesus alive (excpet for Thomas), but they still trembled behind locked doors. They were hiding, so He came to them.

The Savior of the world couldn’t be held down by death. He won’t let locked doors, guarded hearts, puffed out pride, catastrophic circumstances or anything else keep us apart from Him. How I feel today does not define Truth. The empty tomb does. Listen to United Pursuit’s “Simple Gospel” as you remember today “no amount of untruths could separate us.”
