🙌 It's the Friday Call to Worship! 🙌

We celebrated our sons' 1st and 4th birthdays last week. I relished in the abounding joy of my birthday boys and found myself grieving a daughter at the same time. Our Annabel Brave was born directly into heaven five years ago. Although I gave birth to a son exactly one year after Annabel went to heaven, her place in my heart cannot be eclipsed by the grandest of birthday celebrations.

Isn't it amazing that we can hold love and loss at the same time? We can lament for loved ones we never held while we hold the ones we have. It's part of life on this side of eternity. It is even more incredible that while we grieve... celebrate... transition... stumble... even when we do it all at the same time... We never do it without Jesus.

We don't have to make sense of or rush through the seasons of life. We only have to live them with Jesus. I sat in His comfort while I wept and His joy while I filled my house with balloons last week. Today's call to worship is a reminder to turn to him in your season, and let Your Redeemer walk with you, weep with you, dance with you, and care for you right where you are.
