🙌 It's the Friday Call to Worship! 🙌

God spoke, "Hallelujah" when I asked Him for a word to hold on to for the year 2018. I excitedly deemed it "My Hallelujah Year" and looked forward to the hip-hip-hoorays ahead. That year turned out to be one of the deepest, darkest, and hardest of all the years. There were very few celebratory moments and very many hours spent bowed in desperate prayer.

But because He spoke and I trusted, I did not lose my "hallelujah". Instead of the mountaintop shouts I had anticipated, my hallelujahs ricocheted off tall, unmoving mountain walls from my place in the valley.

A song was released that same year that I was sure was from God straight to me. I joined the Torwalts in singing God's Word for me directly in the face of my invisible enemy, "Nothing can take away my hallelujah!"

Five years later, I can look back at those valley years and, instead of seeing the scars, I hear my hallelujahs still echoing. Some of my mountains moved, but many did not. My unwavering hallelujahs, however, helped me to put one foot in front of the other through the highs and the lows. Each hallelujah sang, "Your cross has made a way for my hallelujah."

That kind of hallelujah cannot be defeated. The victory has been won, the price paid once and for all. With every hallelujah you sing today, You claim a little more of the ground that already has your name on it. You are undefeatable by every standard that lasts because of the One who died for you.

Let your conquering hallelujahs resound this Friday and join in the Torwalt's song, "My Hallelujah".
