πIt's the Friday Call to Worship!π
We've received many heavy messages this week of loss, sickness, brokenness, financial need, loneliness and more. I want to shake my fists when seven-year olds are hospitalized, family members are gone too soon, businesses are closing, and fear is on the rise.
Today's Call to Worship is a call to action. Brooke Ligertwood's song, "Fear of God" calls it like it is.
"Satan roams around like a roaring lion
Seeking to devour us but
The fear of God will keep us.
"Let him keep scheming
Let him keep trying
He knows the hour is near
But the fear of God will keep us.
In the blink of and eye and a trumpet sound,
We will be changed by a supernatural power.
Lift up your voice if God's called you too
While we're still here we've got work to do..."
Today's call to action is to exchange the fear of the world for the fear of God. We can use our built-in worship instruments.
We open our balled fists and turn them into weapons of worship. Along with today's song, we clap our hands and declare,
"π1 π2 π3 π4, We may not win every battle but He wins the war. π5 π6 π7 π8 , Christ is coming and there's only so long He'll wait"
Turn up the volume, and slam down your heel in the hospital room or wherever your battlefield is. Remind your enemy that, in the blink of an eye, he is crushed under your heel forever.
Worship until you fear God more than the world. Worship until your heart and body agree with your mouth. Worship until the King comes and that final trumpet blows.
