πŸ™ŒIt's the Friday Call to Worship!πŸ™Œ

I am cautious about miracles.

Don't get me wrong... I know miracles intimately. I've witnessed bodies heal while my fingers still interlocked, while my mouth still formed the "Amen". I've seen finances and families resurrected against all odds. My own life's story is marked by miracles, big and small.

Those visible miracles are so very spectacular, like the fireworks of faith. If I'm honest, they can easily become the prize I run toward or a measuring stick I use to see if I'm pleasing to God. The miracles are not the prize, the portion or my salvation. Jesus is.

The son of God, born to a virgin, came to this broken world to pay our debts. He turned the tables on death and gave us access to unwavering love, now and forevermore. That is the miracle. There could be nothing greater. The miracle is that you don't have to do anything, be anything or see any proof to be wholly, immovably loved by God.

Practical miracles can manifest in the mere shadows of His children (Acts 5:15) or on the dusty fringes of his garments (Matt 9:20-22). They are mere droplets of Living Water spilling over from one kingdom to another.

Today's call to worship is short and sweet. Worship the one true God, Whose hands will still be wide open when everything else fades away. He is your miracle and mine too.

Listen to Elevation Worship's "What A Miracle".
