What is God's will for my life?

If, somewhere within us, exists a purpose grand enough for the Son of Man to lay down his life, we want to make sure our lives mean something. We think about our purpose when we come upon a crossing of the narrow and wide roads, life seasons or relationships change, or when we can't find our fit in this world.

Lean in close here... I've got an answer that won't change with the times. God's will for you is to know Him.

It may sound anti-climatic or entirely unhelpful when it's time to make a big decision. But I've tested it. God's will for you doesn't hang on choosing the right spouse, city, or career. His will for you wasn't dashed by your past or what others have done to you.

He wills you to bring Him along. To seek Him till you find Him. To walk in whisper-close communion with Him. When you know Him, he can help you love that spouse, succeed in that career, walk through that wilderness, and survive that thing you thought you wouldn't make it through.

In Mark 14:36, Jesus surrendered his will and told his Father, "Your will be done". And it was. Your Father's will for your life is to live. He canceled death with a cross and empty tomb. He died so you could live.

God's will for your life is to know Him.

Let's praise the name of the Lord our God today!
