"Find a Way to Win" Resources - Designed by Lifa
Lifa’s got one more week home from school. There was a long time of no school, and then there was school, and then school closed again. We’ve loved having him home, and we’ve had some wonderful moments in our beautiful city together. My boys love each other with a very special love, and I thank God for that every single day.
But despite all the pretty pictures and sweet stories, we’ve got some boredom, grumbling and pity parties happening at the Ladd house. If you read yesterday’s post, you might know that it’s “Find a Way to Win” week, so we created an action plan!
I told Lifa my ideas, we conceptualized a layout, and he got to work as our designer. We created two worksheets for himself and other kids - also valuable for young adults or fully adulting adults! He made a “30 Things I Like to Do Without a Screen” worksheet, and a “Week Review”. The first one is pretty self-explanatory. The second is inspired by the Full Focus Planner that helped Chris and I revolutionize our planning. The Week Review helps you choose the 3 big things you want to focus on that week. Then, it gives you an opportunity to consider why you value them and make an action plan to move toward them. The second page of the Week Review is to go back to at the end of the week, to look back and look ahead. When boredom or grumbling kick in, it just takes a simple nod to the worksheets on the fridge to guide us back to our values, goals and some creative ideas when Mom says no screen.
Our days can slip by us uncounted. We can feel like we’re victims to a pandemic or our circumstances. Or we can pre-decide on what we value and make a plan to move toward them. If my 12-year old can do it, so can you! And maybe your kids too! Here are Lifa’s awesome worksheets! We hope they inspire you and help you to find a way to win this week!
